The Feel Good Garden Crew
Harry has teamed up with Matt Leigh from Matt Leigh Gardens and Jamie to create the Feel Good Garden Crew. After doing the TV work for many years we have really seen how a garden space can really transform people’s lives, but due the amount of episodes released each year it really puts a restriction on the amount of people we can help.
So we have created “The Feel Good Garden Crew” so we can carry on helping more people. As often as we can we will pick someone who could do with a bit of help with their outdoor space where we will transform it for free with the help of our generous suppliers and sponsors.
We would like to give an absolutely massive shoutout to our sponsors and suppliers who without their generosity none of this could be possible:
CT1, Pavestone, BSW Timber, Rowlinson Garden Products & Protek
Episode One:
Episode one sees us in Exmouth where we surprise the children at Rolle House, the deaf academies children’s home. We take what was a very uninspiring blank space which is home to a trampoline and some dying grass and transform it into an incredible space for the children to enjoy; including a sensory trail, sunken trampoline, pull-up bars seating for socialising and a grow your own area where they can grow fruit, vegetables and salad.
We believe gardens and the outdoors can be incredibly therapeutic, offering a place for people to relax and in this case, for children to be children and have a safe place to play. Check out the link below where you can watch the episode in full:
Episode One: The Deaf Acedemy
Episode Two:
Episode two sees us in Malmsbury where we visit Gill & John. Gill and John were in the unfortunate situation where they have been taken advantage of by some cowboy builder. The builders had taken them for over £9000 and left them with a garden that was hardly started and totally unsafe for their grandchildren. This is where we come to the rescue, we transform the space they were left with into a space they can actually use, including entertaining spaces a summer house to enjoy the evening sun and a lovely seating area surrounded by plants.

Garden Rescue - Gloucester
After all the work with ITV and Channel 4 Harry was approached and asked if he could help out being project manager for an episode of Garden Rescue that was close to Harry is based. As it was a show, they he not done yet he thought it would be a great opportunity to see the workings of another show and of course meet the great lady herself, Charlie Dimmock.
Indie and Nathan’s garden in Gloucester hasn’t been touched since their house was built in the 1970s. It’s dull and grey, with swathes of gravel and concrete slabs. The garden’s only saving grace is a beautiful magnolia tree. Having lovingly done up the house since moving in, they would love the garden to be an extension of that space and a place to entertain and spill out into in the summer months. They would like it to continue the minimalist Scandi theme, with sharp angles, that they have inside. They need their new garden to be low-maintenance, as they are not very green-fingered, but they would like to dip their toes with some veg growing, as Nathan is a keen cook.
With a budget of £5000.00 Chris and Charlie came up with some fabulous designs and on this occasion Chris won. Take a look below for some images of the garden both before and after and make sure you watch the show on BBC iPlayer – Series 8, Episode 27.
